New here and have lurked for a while… Great content here. Just turned 60 so my FIRE strategy is…well….fired…
What are thought on using the Fidelity planner tool? I entered all the detailed expenses, being a bit conservative… I get a 150 score if I retire next year…but question some of the assumptions as to market return variability and so forth.
I also did FIRE with SS and entered expense average from Fidelity and got a success rate of 100%.
I know they’re lots of variables. Given above just stay the course? I was very blessed the past 3 years landing a very high paying job…but the gravy train will end within 24 months and finding another job in my field…is slim to none post age 60 other than hustling small consulting gigs that will bring in pennies.
