Our local area Kaiser Permanente was bought out by HealthSpan in 2013. The article says they are disbanding their physicians network and will stop paying commissions to brokers for ACA plans. They have 200,000 customers. This is for the individual market, not Medicare.

When we applied for ACA coverage for 2016 HealthSpan offered 9 plans but they were at least $400/mo more than other insurers.
