How long do you save tax info?

I still scan / shred everything as soon as I file.

Same for me. Then I back it up on a flash/thumb drive.
Have all tax info back to 1999.

I've kept all since I got my first W2, I did go through this past year and shredded a lot of the back up docs for those returns older than 7 years (kept my W-2s as I do not trust my employer or the USG to have accurate records and I may need them for pension/SS etc someday).

Yes I have all of mine also since forever. May have to start chucking at some point. I think also every bank statement, ever. Finally did scan old brokerage statements. If it were a mess it would be easier to just shred it all.0
