Doing some stock research I ran across a company called Beamr Imaging, BMR. Their product is a new video compression algorithm that significantly reduces file size without compromising picture quality.
The new file compression scheme is backwards compatible with existing hardware but to really take advantage of it, new GPUs are optimal. That's where the partnership with Nvidia comes in. Nvidia is going to develop new GPU technology to take advantage of this new video compression technology.
Does this sound like the plot of "Silicon Valley" or what?
