Kids moving out impact on FIRE spending

LOL my twenty something recently college graduates moved into their first apartment. unfortunately for me it's only about 1.5 miles away so my food bill has not gone down at all.

but they definitely don't chew up 50% of my budget. as @usgrant1962 mentioned I'm still in the same house so my utilities dropped a bit but not drastically.

Your food bill will never go down... I make a point to chow down as soon as I get to the ole man's place. It's like a battle to see who can find more "scores" in each other's cupboards and refrigerators. He always goes after my leftovers (assuming mom doesn't cook as often)... and I always go for his sweets (mrs kgtest doesn't let me have them in our home).

Just for $hits I try and snag a dryer sheet every now and again also! I am 38!
