I am right now living in an expensive state for health insurance - MA. I am thinking about working as an IC in multiple states, and it occurred to me to relocate to a lower cost state with lower taxes (eg SD, FL, NV), which would probably also have lower health insurance costs. Are there good nationwide plans available, such that if I am working in multiple different states, including my home state, I would be able to get care and not have to travel back to the home state?

Right now through my employer I have a plan that provides 100% inpatient coverage. I have not had to use it and am healthy, but all of the plans I looked at online while getting individual quotations have a $1000 copay for inpatient stays or a $500 copay with a $1000 deductible. I don't want to sign up for anything like this as costs could add up quickly. Thanks!
