White coat or not I found the Mayo Clinic link useful. I even included it in the query I sent to my ophthalmologist asking her opinion. Having sent it over the weekend, I don’t expect to hear back right away.

Check the short video at this page, if you've had it you will remember. My vision exam includes both dilation and the optomap test but it sounds like in your case they may be doing it in place of dilating your eyes.
