A bit of a Rip Van Winkle question...
After using a couple different spreadsheet plug-ins to scrape quotes from Yahoo finance over the years, that plug was finally pulled during the period I had finances on auto-pilot.
I've since migrated my spreadsheets to google sheets and use google's data, but I don't love having that spreadsheet in the cloud. And it seems to be missing some API's, like spot prices for metals and yield data.
Can somebody catch me up on the current approaches to getting real-time quotes and keeping tabs on net worth?
Something I could use via some programming language (e.g., C-lib, XML, JSON) would be great too.
