Anyone have a HP LaserJet Pro M283fdw printer?
https://www.amazon.com/HP-LaserJet-Wireless-Printing-7KW75A/dp/B083ZYLGGR

If so are color photos of people very good?
I am not finding any color photo samples online of people or the two Bestbuy stores I have been to.

The Epson xp-7100 inkjet I have has started to streak after 11 months as did the last epson. I see even their Ecotanks do as well so looking at color laserjets.

Any recommendations of color laserjets for photos?

I went to print recently with my epson xp-7100 inkjet and the cyan (blue) went empty so I changed it with a new cartridge. The new cartridge was creating streaks.

I did a head cleaning then a nozzle check and had to do this 3 times and the rest of the ink was now running down.... $$ I cannot print using standard but now use High quality so I do not get streaks.

I print every week as recommended to keep the ink from drying out and I only bought the printer 11 months ago for $225.

I found you can buy a print head https://www.ebay.com/itm/304412098781

My daughter has that printer and we have a similar HP color laser printer. They are not photo quality printers. They will certainly print what I think of as an acceptable color picture but if you’re looking for photo quality you’ll have to look at something different.

This is a good review on Amazon. Read the last two paragraphs. They sum up my feelings about the printer very well. Note, I did not experience the calibration issue described in this review. Also, got mine at Costco. It $370 there right now.

Review on Amazon: Excellent home office printer, but calibrate first for best results. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/review...LP1?ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dprv_CM8K36K0ENS2AY2SZW1R

Wirecutter rates the OP's choice as best, but expensive. And says "photos good enough for a school report" - the key is what you want to use it for.

If it's for quality photos, to mount/frame, then you'll want to look on a place like Adorama or a photo site for reviews.

You will not get photo quality printouts from a color laser printer. They will be adequate for use in a presentation booklet.

You will get better quality from a color inkjet printer, but still not as good as using a photo printing service like Snapfish, Shutterfly, or even your local Walgreen's.

Thanks for the replies.

Epson XP-7100 Nozzle checks with Clean cycles in between done today..... Maybe a ecotank ink printer is best as at least the ink bottles are cheaper.
Below are my nozzle checks and clean cycles

I did a search at Reddit r/printers on printers and many many postings about the ink streaking even on the Epson ecotanks.

I can spend $550 for a epson ecotank printer with 6 colors or $200 that has 4 colors. Both will have streaks from the reviews. Or buy a HP ink tank and have the same issue or a bricked printer due to firmware issues... : )
