We are a very small engineering services company.

I was passing through the 8-cubicle section of our "shoebox" where our software engineers work, and I catch only a portion of a sentence from an ongoing discussion that says, ".....and they were classifying organisms based on how their digestive tracts form....."

Wha?!?!

That just struck me as hilarious.

You really don't to know what programmers talk about. There are some truly amazing(sometimes non-existent) problems solved and exciting knowledge passed around.

There were a few that absolutely couldn't deal with the real world. One that comes to mind was a phone call from the guy asking what my appendix felt like when I went to the ER. I heard what he was experiencing and told him to go to the ER immediately. Nah, an hour later I finally hang up cause he's babbling about what it's like to pass gas in outer space!

He called back the next day post surgery.
