Really appreciate everyone's input! We modified our trip with many of the suggestions in mind. We decided to skip Singapore and will use Bangkok as our starting point for a 12 day tour with a private driver that visits the major temples and ends with a day in Doi Inthanon. The rest stays the same: diving Raja Ampat from a liveaboard, followed by a cruise/land tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. We think version 2 is much better. Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions.
