I am trying to purchase some CDs through my Vanguard account.

I got to "buy and sell" and hit the option for "buy CDs" and then it asks which of my accounts will the potential trade come from, and I select that account and then I get a blank page.

I am wondering if this is unique to me, or has VG decided not to sell CDs anymore, or if this is a problem with the website.

Any VG customers out there having this similar issue?

I have a message sent to VG on this, and I'll report back if I ever hear back from them.

TIA

Sounds like your browser may have a script blocker running.

Running Safari on a Mac. It would have to be a resident program, as I have never downloaded any extras on that machine.

I can't find anything in System Preferences.

I'm not very good at finding these things. Did a Google search and everything that came up under "script blocker" was an added program.

Where would I look on macOS 11.2.2?

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try an alternate path? Start from the Balances and Holdings page, and from the account you want to use pull down "Buy and Sell" to "Trade Bonds or CDs". From the Summary page you can do the same by selecting Transact from the account you want to use.

Yes I tried alternate paths.

What worked was switching browsers to Firefox.

Thanks Everyone.

Now it will just be an academic exercise to see how long it takes VG to get back to me.
