And it's driving me crazy! I have a transfer at work, and I just cannot stand the waiting for my chance to get to Oregon.
I'm way, way up in Northern California, in a very, very small mountain town.
It's only 20 minutes, 20 miles to the nearest populated city of say, 90,000 now..
I cannot stand it. That's where I work, and I don't like it there anymore.
It's is full of Bay Area's, Oaklanders, Los Angelinos, and the like.
Great for them, they have found their happiness, terrible for me.
Just way too overcrowded for me.
I grew up in Los Angeles, and all I wanted to do was transfer up to Northern California.
Now, Northern California is just like the rest of California.
There's no place left.
Considered Arcata for awhile, it's getting too crowded and phoney there too.
The hippies are leaving for greener pastures, just like me.
The 'Rainbow Tribes' of the Redwoods, seem to be leaving.
Not just because it's National Gathering in Wyoming either.
It's just not the same in Arcata anymore.
Meth has taken it's toll.
Meth has taken it's toll on the city I live near, and have to go to work to.
I know there's Meth in Oregon, I just want to keep as far away from people on Meth I can find in Oregon.
Have friends that have already gotten up to Oregon, are working and settling in and very, very happy there.
Much happier than in Northern California.
Nor Cal WAS the best for quite a long time. That's all over with now.
I cannot really find anywhere that's any good here anymore.
I have traveled all over California.
I don't want to have to pay millions to live around and in a nice place, it's not worth it. People too plastic. They are not REAL hippies, they are too into their big bucks.
That's why I am leaving asap to Oregon.
Better moneywise and more Earth/Spirit people. The real hippies are there.
Kinda like the 'real hippies' are on a quest to FIND EACH OTHER, and are gravitating towards more Earth/Spirit/Sky/Water places.
Like homing pidgeons we are, I guess. Kewl See ya in Oregon soon
