I am trying to think of a name of female comedian in late 70s, early 80s. I think I saw her on Tonight Show, SNL, and other similar shows. She was short, had dark hair (I think). She would rattle off jokes in detached monologue tone, and before audience got it and started to laugh, she'd move on to next one. Timing was "intentionally" off so much so that I thought she was messing up her routine. Sorry I can't be more descriptive. Anyone remember her name or suggest one?

Bingo! Thanks, stepford. Boy, this forum is good.

Or, then again, it was Wendy Liebman that I was thinking about. When I looked up Rita Rudner on YouTube, WL's name came up also.

There was one named Margaret Smith (I think that was her last name). She had a really dry, almost mournful, delivery.
