I find this incredibly depressing.
Heh. I almost don't know what to say, so I'll just snicker quietly.
Brew, don't take this personally. Really, don't. But I just find the irony too great to resist:
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who intentionally posts controversial or contrary messages in an online community such as an online discussion forum or USENET, with the intention of baiting users into an argumentative response.
Heck... when you talk about money, politics, or religion... everything is controversial.
I would rather sleep with a rattlesnake than have the like of these varmints back in the GREAT STATE of TEXAS.
Hey, I thoughtit was funny in absurd sort of way. That's it. A certain poster who likes to whine, complain, and accuse everyone else of ad hominem attacks is welcome to cease doing exactly what he likes to accuse others of.
Moi?
OK, here's my take on the "joke." I'm an atheist, and I think much of religious dogma of all kinds is sort of a joke, but I understand the usefulness of parables, and I think that very few religious people take such stuff literally.
Get lucky?I slept with a rattlesnake once....we broke up a few weeks later.............
I think that link is as detrimental to children as any other sort of pornography they might be subject to.
sadly, many DO take such stuff literally. And some of them even get elected to high offices and formulate public policy on the assumption this stuff is "factual." And that's no joke.
The GOP debates - not a majority - but let's face it - even one is too many (and somewhat embarrasing)
