DQOTD: How do I get the ER.org Android app to stop notifications?

The full site is unreadable on a phone so I downloaded the app. But I get a lot of thread notifications, I don't want them. I turned off Push Notifications in Settings, but I still egg them. Anyone know what the trick is?

Pretty clever app otherwise BTW!

go to settings/application manager/retirement and uncheck the notifications box

Mine is 4.0.x, but I think I figured it out. I turned off push notifications several days ago, but it appears I needed to exit the app for that to take effect. May have issue resolved now. Rookie mistake on my part

I just uninstalled the app. It was running my battery down way too fast.
