MIT Breakthrough Technologies 2015

Interesting list by MIT Technology Review of innovations and advances that they predict will impact our lives. This does have FIRE relevance, a couple of things on that list have to do with thiongs that affect us directly, especially health related.

Not all breakthroughs are created equal. Some arrive more or less as usable things; others mainly set the stage for innovations that emerge later, and we have to estimate when that will be. But we’d bet that every one of the milestones on this list will be worth following in the coming years.

These types of things are fascinating. The best science fiction stories I read often used a new invention and then speculated about what the effect on society would be.

I'm still eagerly waiting for the spindizzy to be invented.
