Shelly Berman passed away at age 92

When I worked up on a remote dam site in northwest Australia, circa 1961/2, we had a couple records, (yeah, records, it was that long ago), Shelley Berman & Bob Newhart...knew all the lines back then.

Newhart started in the 50's, I watched his show in the 70's and he is still on TV today.

What the hell did these guys eat ‽

I don't get this skit. Why doesn't he have windows, doors, no light switch (but he has a phone, would have been corded back then)? Why are both taps hot water?

Is he in hell? A casket? What am I missing?
