Cops: Long Island sex predator gave wheels to 16-year-old victim

MAY 31--A New York woman was arrested today for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old boy whose suspicious mother called cops when he showed up one day driving a Mercedes-Benz that he said was a gift from the woman. According to Nassau County cops, Lisa Frodella, a 39-year-old married mother of two, had "multiple sexual encounters" with the boy, including trysts this year at Long Island hotels. Frodella, has been charged with two counts of rape and two counts of criminal sexual act. The Benz, a 2002 model, was subsequently sold by Frodella, though it is unclear whether she took the car back from the boy or whether he returned the vehicle (presumably at his family's direction).

Regarding the 18 year old in high school, I know in this county that if you're born between January 1 and June 15 or so, you'll be 17 when you enter your senior year and 18 when you graduate. If you were born between September-December, you'll be 16 when you enter, 17 when you graduate. Presuming your on-time.

I don't know about kids born during summer vacation, though. I imagine the cutoff is really something like Jan 1-Jun 30 and Jul1-Dec 31. I think it's time to sign up for summer school!
