Hey all,
We're in the process of getting rid of our car and relying on rideshare and transit for getting around town.
What I'm discovering is that having no car insurance is going to compromise our ability to keep our umbrella policy. Our agent also said that because most of our rates are related to a "good driver discount" that we can expect to see all of our insurance rates go up.
So yes, I'm shopping around.
But I'm curious if we have any other car-free people who have an umbrella liability policy, and if you've run into any problems about not having sufficient "underlying coverages."
Thanks!
SIS
