Weird.

Everyone I know loves cashew nuts.
But I was kind of amazed that even though they come mainly from Brazil, I never saw one during the three years I lived there. My Brazilian friends told me that they were so valuable that they were all exported.

However, the cashew fruit (one fruit per nut), was not readily exportable, so you could get a glass of cashew juice at practically any juice bar, and juice bars were everywhere.

You could also buy cashew juice concentrate in small bottles in grocery stores, and mix up your own juice at home.

Frankly, it's what I would call "an acquired taste" and although I was able to choke it down by the time I left the country, it never appealed to me.

Weird, indeed.
