People who are too lazy to learn how to use their cell phone!

Friends who say "call me later to get together (or for a meeting/task/whatever)" and you call and they don't answer the phone. So you leave a voicemail and never hear back.

Next time you see them and ask "did you check your voicemail?"

They answer: "gee, I didn't know I had a voicemail, or I don't know how to check it..." (or some other stupid answer like "the phone is too high tech for me..:nonono"

Well, if you are going to have a "High Tech" phone, then you OUGHT to know how to use it!

That is just a handy white lie for "I was doing something more interesting"!

Yes, possibly so, but frustrating.

Not really the case with one individual I am ranting about. Several of us (friends for decades) have been experiencing the same responses. It could be (we suspect) early dementia setting in for this fellow. He is going to be 70 in a few months so we are pretty light on this, however, it is frustrating.

The moron that drove through the stop sign while looking me in the eye this morning. Really it's a 25 MPH speed limit there, and you can't stop for someone that's in the intersection! Where is the speed trap when you want an id10t to get pulled over.

Having a post office near me that always, and I mean always, is occupied with people getting passports. It screws up anyone else going there to use the place like a regular post office. I will be so happy when I retire and move to somewhere / anywhere where I can go into a P.O. and easily send off packages.

Suffering through made up corporate words.

Am in a 2 day workshop and the hired consultants keep using stupid, made up words... can't tell you how many times today I've rolled my eyes.

The one I despise the most is "pivot". As in, "we're pivoting to our next topic"... sigh.

That kind of talk could make one undergo a "paradigm shift" or "hit he ground running."

I feel for you.

Speaking of the post office... Our mail carrier literally screws up every single day. This guy is always putting the neighbor's Mail in my box and my mail in the neighbor's. One day he was off by a box on the entire neighborhood. Everyone on the street had to go the house on the right and pass the mail down. I wonder how much of my mail never makes it way to me... I called the local office to file a complaint, the postmaster told me I could file a complaint at USPS.com, I just hung up and cried

Yep, I can imagine what happens to your mail once you file a complaint.

CFB had a spat with his mailman, he had a good time with it.

Gosh, my mail service is great. Fast efficient, the USPS is great.

Where do you people live? Outer Mongolia?

You could try this story about the Canadian Post Office, it's almost true:

Quote:
A guy goes into the Canada Post Office to apply for a job. The interviewer asks him, "Are you allergic to anything?"

He replies, "Yes, caffeine. I can't drink coffee."

"Ok, Have you ever been in the military service?"

"Yes," he says, "I was in Afghanistan for one tour."

The interviewer says, "That will give you five extra points toward employment." Then he asks, "Are you disabled in any way?"

The guy says, "Yes. A bomb exploded near me and I lost both my testicles."

The interviewer grimaces and then says, "Disabled in your country's service! Well, that qualifies for extra bonus points. Okay. Looking at the regulations you have got enough points for me to hire you right now. Our normal hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can start tomorrow at 10:00 am, and plan on starting at 10:00 am every day."

The guy is puzzled and asks, "If the work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 PM, why don't you want me here until 10:00 am?"

"This is a government job," the interviewer says. "For the first two hours, we just stand around drinking coffee and scratching our balls.

No point in you coming in for that."

People who do not use "ly" on their adverbs... this is especially annoying when journalists do it.
