Used Paypal. They make it easy.

They seem to require some data like email address even for a simple credit card donation.

So I was thinking of sending in a check via US mail.

Re: Credit Card... yeah... It took a minute for me to think about that, too, but then, I thought... mmmm... Amazon, Pay Pal, and any other way of paying for online also has the information...
I just respect the effort and dedication of the Wiki Volunteers so much that I decided to take the risk...

You may have noticed that for the first time this year we've tweaked our fundraising so that most people will only see the banners a handful of times, instead of for weeks. That's deliberate: we don't want people to get irritated by too many appeals. But it does mean that fewer people will figure out we're a non-profit, and that we want their help. So if you're willing, I'd appreciate if you'd help spread the word by forwarding this e-mail to a few of your friends.

And I'd love if you'd try joining us in helping to write Wikipedia. Wikipedia's written entirely by volunteers -- tens of thousands of ordinary people around the world, exactly like us. I didn't notice the Amazon option before, thanks. That's how I did it last year.

They do need to email you an acknowledgment. You will need it if you are itemizing deductions on your 2013 taxes.

I got the acknowledgment through Amazon so apparently no need to give out my email to another computer.

When I do the taxes, I just put in a reasonable number for miscellaneous. I figure it covers all the stuff including those coins in the Salvation Army buckets.

Yeah I think that's how I did it last year.

In fact I think I used my new credit for opening the Chase rewards card.
