Is the Vanguard website down?

It's 11/11/05 at 6:50pm EST and when I go to www.vanguard.com I get "can't find server"

Is that possible?

Vanguard website down? Can you imagine? It would be like a civil war battle reenactment... thousands driving to Valley Forge!

Servers do go down.

But services shouldn't. Can you imagine if the phone company said stuff like "sorry, our servers went down" or "we'll be back after our daily 4-hour maintenance cycle."

For some reason I could go to every website, even the ones not cached, except the vanguard one.  I could even post here and see new posts, so that told me inflow and outflow was working.  It was the strangest thing and it never happened before.  After I power-cycled my modem and router I could get in to the vanguard website again. Problem solved.
