I would hope so....but I keep remembering the final few seconds of "the Big Short" movie where they tell us that not one person has been convicted and gone to jail over that one.

Back in the day, it wasn't uncommon for people with unrelated degrees to move into IT. In fact, music majors were fairly represented. No way to tell how qualified or not she was based only on a music degree, especially if she's retirement age and would have entered the field long before computer degrees were common.

But, there are now reports that there was another earlier hack some months before and the executive sales likely had insider knowledge of BOTH hacks. To fail to patch a known security hole is really bad practice and they will need to answer for that. The solutions currently being offered (one year credit monitoring) are woefully inadequate to make the affected people whole.
