New Insurance

We received our new insurance cards yesterday for our ACA BCBS Silver plan. Very, very happy to have it and the timing was perfect. Our COBRA was scheduled to end on Feb 1st.

For a family of 4 (including 2 kids) our monthly premium went from 1300 to 800, and the new policy includes dental!

This was one of our biggest stress factors when deciding to pull the plug in 2012 and it has worked out well.

$800 for silver level family coverage including dental sounds real good. We would pay that for just a silver plan for a couple without dental, and for a family it would be $1,100.

Interesting that it would be that much more expensive for you. Is that because the price is based on age and/or location? It can't be because of family history or pre-existing conditions.
