It does not inspire much confidence that the man in charge of the Treasury got his butt kicked by a tax prep program.

That is the one. He has another press conference tomorrow at 10am EST. Rumor is he is going to suspend mark to market accounting - which is one of the primary reasons we are in this mess to begin with.
But that is what Wall Street wants. We know by now what they want from; TARP, to bailouts, to suspending regulator regulations, they get.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that mark to market is suspended and the markets snap back upward in violent fashion.

It was disappointing to say the least. To follow "we've got a heck of a plan for this thing" with "we'll let you know the details when we think we've got it all figured out" was confusing.
