My favorite blogger has to be "retireby40." Everyone is jealous of him retiring* and admires him.

*the schmuck is having his wife continue to work, so he may be hanging up his hat, but he isn't living off of and supporting his family from his nest-egg.

The moral of the story, it's not retirement if you have tricked someone into paying your bills. Otherwise, DW retired long ago.

I took a look at his site. Don't think I want any advice from him! I am older than 40 so too late for me.

My wife has him beat she "retired" at 25.

Are you saying your wife tricked you?
Isn't that guy a stay at home dad?

People have different ideas of what retirement means. Most people on this board I think would say you have to be financially independent. Not dependent on labor to pay your bills.
