So you all don't think I've gone on an eating binge, let me say you are going to see my weight do some strange things over the next few months. I'm having some medical treatments that in the long run usually result in weight gain due to water retention. Hopefully I'll be able to get it off afterwards, but I can't worry about it too much right now. Still gonna track it, though!

Good Luck with your treatments ! Put your weight loss on the back burner and just concentrate on getting well . Besides those maxi dresses that are so popular hide a lot just add sparkly sandals and you are good to go !:)
 
A bit late for Wednesday but I was flying home from California Wednesday and forgot about this thread. When I weighed myself on arrived home I was at 174.5 - up about 2 pounds. But I am back to 172.4 this morning which is where I was when I left two weeks ago so maybe I just added some water or a maybe a pound. I ate quite a bit more carbs on the trip than I have been eating but I still tried to keep them down to a large degree. I ate a lot of breakfasts that included hash browns and toast but I restricted myself to about 1/3 the hash browns and one slice of toast. Sauces and salad dressings probably contained a bit of sugar, and I ate some rice and potatoes I would not have included at home. All and all I think I was above the amount of carbs I would like in a long term maintenance diet. I would probably drift up a bit if I ate like that all the time. The good news is that it should be easy to stay lower on a maintenance diet.

I weighed in today . I am happy to say that I have lost a few pounds and seem to be maintaining the weight loss .:)

I am happy for myself. A middle aged guy still has similar weight almost 30 years ago.
 
Despite a stupendous splurge at a Mario Batali restaurant in NYC Saturday night my LCHF diet continues to deliver. I was at 169.4 this morning, back at my college weight. I started counting (or sorta counting) calories out of simple curiosity (I don't pay any attention when eating and choosing foods). I think I am substantially under 2000 C a day so I am probably quite a bit below what my former diet delivered. The difference is all carbs. Whatever, I still have no issues with hunger or cravings. I don't think I could up my calories if I tried without adding a bunch of the empty carbs I have no cravings for.

I am also at my college weight but unfortunately my body does not look the same as then . Things seem to have shifted when I wasn't looking .:)

I was 168.6 this morning. I'm not sure what my target weight should be. I look pretty skinny as is (6' 0") but my BMI calculates as 22.9. When I look at the normal range for six feet that is in the upper end. But when I correct for age (64) at this site, I find I am in the 17th percentile now. Maybe I should call it quits here. Eating low carb (50-80g/day) I continue to loose but I am eating all I want. Can't decide whether I should continue at this level of carbs and see where my weight settles out or start adding some whole grains into the mix. DW is still trying to lose so I will probably keep at it until I decide I look too darn skinny.

I weighed in this morning . I am still at my target weight so I am happy especially since I just returned from travelling for two weeks .
 
165.6 this morning. At 165 I start introducing a few more carbs. Maybe a couple of M&M Peanuts. :nonono:
