This is my first weigh-in since April 18th. No scales for the lasxt 3 months while on vacation. While away we did lots of hiking (over 250 miles), much of it at altitude. However we ate outrageously, and inconsistently, compared to how we normally eat. Much of the time I had a craving for sweet things and ate pancakes or sticky pastries for breakfast, plus ice cream in the late afternoon. Sometimes a large cooked breakfast, then a granola bar and apple while out, followed by a normal evening meal. We both expected to have gained weight when we got back, as we did last year after 7 months in England. (I put on 8lbs despite intense hiking - 625 miles).
This is the lowest weight I've been since my WW year of 2003, and DW reckons she has not seen her new low since before the kids were born. We've been back 4 days now, and so far no increase in weight, but we don't expect it to last since we simply don't exercise in the same way we do on these vacations.
Whatever the reasons, we are delighted with the unexpected weight loss.
