The individual rates for 2017 have been released and they range from 50 to 67%, really nothing new or unusual compared it some other states.

The turmoil is in the comments from the state insurance commissioner, who said the other existing companies threatened to leave the state after Blue Cross dumped around 100K subscribers on Jan 1 2017.

The commissioner said and I quote, They had to give the remaining companies some "capacity limits" on new subscribers. So in other words the 100K that new need insurance are NOT free to shop every health insurance company in the state. There was no more information on how they will apply these controls and the numbers each company must take, but this makes it way more complicated for those of us in the state of Minnesota, has anyone else run across these so called "capacity limits"?

Yikes!!! This is a nightmare from a company perspective, programing perspective and consumer perspective. From the political view, look at the cover it affords.
