Quicken is coming out with a new product, Quicken online: Online Money Management Solution - Quicken Online Beta

It will be $3/month and launch January 8th according to this:
PC World - Intuit Puts Quicken on iPhone

This is the only "mini review" I could find:
Hands on with Quicken Online | Webware : Cool Web apps for everyone

I've never used Quicken but want to try using it (or Money) in 2008 to improve my budgeting/record keeping. I like the idea of not having to deal with software installation etc. but am concerned about the privacy abuse potential.

I would be concerned as well about privacy. Servers are maintained by people. To date, credit card processing places have a horrid record - don't really know why this might be different.

Also the law is still somewhat unsettled about handing over data and data history housed on servers. Could your info be subject to court ordered inspection? Every keystroke is retrievable.

Personally, i am highly skeptical; I use Quickbooks and put up with annual software upgrades.

It looks like an interesting product. I might be tempted to give it a try.

I use Yodlee Moneycenter as an easy way to do basic online tracking for free. They serve a lot of corporate financial customers which gives me some confidence in their security.
