Occasionally we get pictures from Google Plus. In a moment of daring , I discovered that clicking the arrow at the corner enlarges the picture to full screen. Then I discovered that I was in a no-exit place, not knowing how to get out of there, w/o shutting down the computer. There must be a way.........

If you move the cursor up towards the top if the screen, does a menu appear?

Hit the Escape key. That works nearly all the time.
Another keyboard option is the Command-period combination, which is practically identical to Escape, but sometimes works when Escape doesn't.

Thanks for the tips, Meadbh and braumeister. As I was typing in the OP,
I suddenly thought about the ESC like in Excel but didn't try it. I tried moving the cursor around ........didn't find anything but might have missed it. I know when a slide show is playing, moving the cursor around near the bottom brings up a box to exit , but I couldn't find anything similar. I finally have memorized ctl-c and ctl-v on the PC. Not sure my brain has enough room to store Command-period but I'll try....
