OMG, It's Monday!

I have to deal with cons.

Seems like in your volunteer business pros. would also be cons?

And thanks, Lazy and Khan, my do-list today includes boxing up the kitty litter, garbage and recycling. Then, I'm done and out to play.:)

OMG, It's Monday!
I believe that for ERs the quote is:

Thank God it's Monday!!

The kids are back in school, the cars are out of the neighborhood, the customers are out of the stores, the roads are clear between rush hours, the restaurants & coffee shops are habitable again, and of course all the recreational facilities are wide open...

We need to get all our shopping finished before Thanksgiving and the holiday rush, because the next time after that we walk into a store it'll be 2009.

Anything annoy you about Mondays?

That buzzing noise I hear around 6:45 am every Monday morning. Then I hear it every 9 minutes until I get up and go to work.

I'm finding this whole "work" thing to be reeeally inconvenient. And it definitely isn't conducive to getting enough sleep. I'm just hoping the government doesn't waste all it's credit on banks and auto mfr's because I need a bailout so I can bail out (of the work force).

I celebrate every Monday by eating my favorite food - Pizza.

It reminds me how lucky I am to be FIRED. :D

So true.

My neighbor starts his car and leaves for work at 7AM (Monday through Friday); I do hear it, but he is very quiet about it. At 7:30AM the local military installation plays reveille (on work days). At 7:30AM on Mondays, the trash truck starts on the next street over.

I forgive all of them; I roll over and go back to sleep.

It's terrible how work interferes with your life.

Life is Great!!!! (when you're FIRE'D!!!) :D

And one Monday per month I go to the Doctor's office for b/p check, and every 3rd one of those Mondays he draws blood to monitor triglycerides. My appointments are always for 9am when his office opens. I get there at 8:30, visit with the nurse, head for room #1 to wait for Doc, get checked over, pay my $7 or $8 (ins pays the rest), chat with the receptionist as she come in (always late), and I'm out the door between 9 and 9:05 to head up to the coffee shop.

They all enjoyed the peppers and tomatoes that I took in for them throughout the growing season, so today they suggested that the next time we have lasagna or something else really good, I should bring in some for them......they said they're not to proud to eat leftovers for lunch. ;) Hmmmmm.....I'm fixing a big batch of bagna calda for supper tonight....maybe I'll take 'em in a mason jar of it tomorrow! Garlic's good for your health, right!? :D

Most annoying thing about Monday - the stock market opens:p

No recorded Leno to watch.

Today is the last Monday before I retire! It's wonderful.

Congrats, NR4P! But be warned, apparently there is a long newbie period. I've been at it 11 weeks, and had to be reminded by an old pro at ER that the proper expression is "TGIM."

I usually wake up early and get up, why not, I don't have to go to w*rk! Yippee!

Took a one hour walk today, and really got into it, it took three hours but I didn't have to get back anywhere. I'm remembering why it is I wanted to be RE. :D

okay, I shouldn't be posting to this thread since I am still w*rking and believe me today was really, totally a MONDAY at work!!! I am so looking forward to TGIM instead of today's OMG it is Monday all day!

I'm still working also, and today sure was Monday. Interestingly, I feel as good as I'm going to feel all week long on Monday - it will be all downhill from here until Friday @ 5:00!

I'm hearing a Mamas & Papas song in my head. Monday, Monday...

there is still a little brain cell in my stress response control region that fires on Monday AMs when i am still half awake. it doesn't happen every week, but...it lingers...
once i'm fully awake, it's TGIM and full speed ahead. If I feel like it.

Most days I have to look at the newspaper to find out what day it is. That's important because the stores don't sell wine before 1:00 pm on Sundays.

I'll drink to that!

Well maybe not this early...but still.....

Same here; and some don't sell alcohol at all on Sundays

Two things I don't like much about Mondays:

1. DH heads back to work and the kids miss him terribly on Monday. They like having unobstructed Daddy time on the weekends.

2. No Daily Show with Jon Stewart reruns on Monday night. I can't stay up til 11 so I usually watch the previous night's show at 8.

I love Monday, all my friends go back to work and I get to recover from the weekend:duh:
