    Ten bagger

Yeah NVDA's been a beast for me too. 4 for 1 stock split soon.

    Jim Cramer's market strategies

I'm with you. I've been investing and trading in individual stocks 25+ years and I don't think ole Cramer is all that bad.

    Solar & Alternative Energy ETFs

Thanks I'll check those out too. I like using covered calls to create synthetic dividends.

ICLN is the one I decided on for me...entered not too long after November's election.

    Stock Picking 2021

Yeah agree most chips seem expensive. Demand for them outpacing supply and don't see that relenting soon. Multi-year positions and gonna hold on to NVDA and AMD for now, as have trimmed some and have original cost basis + some taken care of. Yesterday entered short term position in CLF via...

    Stock Picking 2021

I too recently got into MRK, oh well. Added to JNJ and MSFT fairly recently, been a long time holder of both. PENN has been one I got into back in Oct...been great for me. They have been capitalizing on online gaming including sports gambling which is growing rapidly.

Why I believe we are about to embark on a historic bull market run

Agree. While it may not be for everyone here, there is nothing wrong with picking individual stocks and it is possible to beat the "market" if you have time and enjoy it...which I do.

Is the Motley Fool "Stock Advisor" really worth it?

Their basic service is reasonable to me. Can give you a few ideas to research further and I like some of the cliff notes writeups on individual stocks. Has helped me augment my individual stock portfolio last couple years.

    What moves Bitcoin?

Still don't really get it and all, and more recently bitcoin now bouncing around in the 30,000 - 40,000+ range. Crazy I say. But now also getting a few big time investors...still not for me but we shall see I guess.

Is the Motley Fool "Stock Advisor" really worth it?

 Yes some like to augment portfolio performance and/or take some pleasure in investing a % in individual stocks in attempt to do so.

    Hi, no more Monday's.

Congrats. Sunday nights are now my personal favorite. Great example was that we attended big Super Bowl Party couple weeks ago and many of my buddies were moaning and groaning...complaining about having to go to w*rk in the a.m....I just grinned and grabbed another cold one....ah, life is good!

What was your happiest moment today?

+1 I usually don't sweat from being nervous, but do remember those times in the passenger seat with both of my kids. ;D

How is this NOT a US Stock bubble??

FWIW, heard investor Leon Cooperman (he's the investor that had a little quarrel with Elizabeth Warren a little while back) on the tube today, and says he thought that bond market was closer to a bubble than the stock market right now. Thought there were some things like Tesla, etc that were in...

How is this NOT a US Stock bubble??

+1 Agreed. Btw, I prefer to keep much simpler...coin flip. :)

How is this NOT a US Stock bubble??

Sorry mentioned it as a side note in post #99 about not believing all this 11 year bull run hoopla (i.e. in general people believing just because of this supposedly longevity meaning time to go down)...maybe should have started a new thread. New to posting here so I'll ask for forgiveness.

How is this NOT a US Stock bubble??

+1 As a side note I'm kind of tired of hearing in general that we are in an 11 year bull market run. If we go into a "bear" market in the not to distance future don't believe it is because this bull market is a little long in the tooth, late innings, etc. IMHO current bull market is a little...

Fund Flows as indicator (+/-) of market behavior

Quick read on Fund Flows in and out not being what some thought. Not saying I would base a lot on this, but differs what seemed logical in my little mind. Link: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/what-money-flows-and-mutual-funds-really-say-about-the-stock-markets-future-2020-02-11 Quote from...

Hey y'all...retired in the Deep South.

All right another class of 2019er! Thanks and hello. Is there some class of 2019 thread/post that I should follow that you know of?

Hey y'all...retired in the Deep South.

Thanks and have obvious soft spot for fellow Dawg fans! Sounds like you've been enjoying the retirement scene yourself. Yeah always this might be the year for us..:) but hey maybe so. I saw #34 many times in those days....

Kids moving out impact on FIRE spending

OP, from a quick mental thought I'm guesstimating (w/o college) without our 2 sons at home it is somewhere in that 15-20%ish neighborhood. Would like to put college aside, but in our case paying for that right now...at least in the home stretch with youngest who graduates in May...that will be a...

That my DW has not added anything to the already long "to do" list of ours. Shooo weee.
