I'm just happy to supply the correct info. It's a myth that "If I had invested in a 401[k], I would today still not be allowed to access any of that investment without paying a heavy penalty."

Many people don't realize they can tap their retirement accounts before age 59.5 without penalty, and that misinformation discourages them from contributing to their retirement accounts at all.
