Yes, BRK is now too big to beat the S&P.

But when we remember that Berkshire has a big cash cushion, something like 23% of assets, yet still matches the S&P performance, then it is a feat.

And if the market takes a bad tumble, Buffett will get a chance to show his prowess by deploying that cash.

AFASIK , has never paid a dividend. 23% is a lot of cash. The buying power of BRB during the next recession is mind numbing .

I doubt the company will pay a dividend while the 2 old guys at the top are still around.
 
Berkshire Hathaway has not beat the S&P over the last 10 years. Much better off with S&P Index since 2008.
