The cruise travel agency we used is closing/retiring, so I'm shopping for a someone new.
The people we were using only did cruises. They had careers in the cruising industry before creating their agency, and had a lot of inside knowledge, both from having been a part of the industry and regularly cruising to stay up-to-date.
The type of value-add they provided was knowing what every cabin would offer down to "take E111 instead of D111 because it would have a slightly obstructed view to due life boats, and it's aft so you would not have to cross the smoky casino as often, and closer to the firewall so it'll be slightly quieter".
They came to know us and would advise on whether this cruise would be too formal, too informal (no Mr Hairy Legs contest for me), too many older people (we're still in our 50s) etc ...
The agency was local but I would be fine working with someone remotely, especially if they do zoom sessions where you can compare options on the screen etc ..."
Any suggestions, recommendations or referrals?
