It seems like I have had more than my share of minor health issues in my life, but this last one was a doozy. About four years ago, at 55, I developed a clot in my thigh which required I use anticoagulants for about a year. My doc then said I could try stopping the blood thinners provided no clots re formed. The symptoms went away and life was good again.
Then last year, at 58, another clot developed in the same leg, and doc put me on Xeralto, presumably for the rest of my life. This time, however, I had some damage to the veins in the bottom of my foot, and at times during the day, I experience sever discomfort in the bottom of my toes, which can only be relieved when I elevate my leg.
I just wondered if any of you have had this happen, and if you had any luck preventing pain? Thanks.
