I finally did it: Gave up working in Europe and now enjoying a peaceful life free of stress in Ecuador. Since last November my time is filled with improving my knowledge of spanish, hiking, voluntary work in a hospital. Until now, there is not much I miss, except the friends I left. The climate is pleasant and people are nice.

Anybody who has similar plans and interested in writing mails about experiences?

Hello! I have seriously considered leaving the friendly confines
of the USA. However, with a wife, 4 dogs, investments,
aging parents, 3 children, 2 stepchildren and 3 grandchildren here it would be tough. Have pretty
much ruled that out as an option. I enjoy hearing the stories of those who have done it though.
