Hearing aid quality

2-3 times a year , moms hearing aids breakdown often requiring the audiologist having to send in for repair. This set is about 2 years old.

Is this normal for current hearing tech ?

I have been using hearing aids for about 15 years (I'm on my third set) and have never had one break down. The worst problem I had was wax blocking the first set which was pretty easy to fix. I get my HAs at Costco.

I've had my Costco for a year. No probs. Brought them in once to get them cleaned for free, but they were not malfunctioning.
