My last day after 37 years at the same old place! A little (actually very) anxious. I've been telling people I feel like I am standing at a 2000 foot precipice with a parachute on my back. I have packed and unpacked the chute a dozen times. An expert watched me pack the chute. It should work but still... and I don't quite know what's at the bottom when I touch down!

Cheers, Jeff :greetings10:

Congratulations! Now relax, you've earned it!

My last day was two weeks ago after 42 years in heavy construction. Very surreal feeling so far. Was on my to bed Friday night thinking how glad I was to have a three day weekend. I think your going to love it.

Excellent analogy.

Congratulations!

I loved the leap!

There must be some good thermals too, I keep going up instead of heading to the ground.

Enjoy the ride!

I like the image of running down a hill with a para glider already inflated over my head, and leaving the ground that way. Cliffs are so sudden.

WOW! Good for you.

I walked out the back door and haven't been back but left on very good terms. I had no desire to go back after working there 35 years.

Congratulations. Happy for you. I'm looking forward to the day I'm in you shoes.

Welcome to every day being a Saturday. Congratulations.

Congrats

It’s been two years plus a day since I pulled the ripcord...(the newbies have a hard time thinking what it was like in the older days...actually having to pull boards and replace parts on it... not to mention actually being able to troubleshoot....). Heard through someone still there that they are really having some issues since a couple of us (dinosaurs) left....wonder why?

What will you do all day?

Time to buy a new motorcycle!

Awesome - welcome to the club!
My last day was a layoff that I knew was coming - but still after working there over 20 years was a little put off being escorted out the door by security (company policy).
I looked back over the shoulder at all my old co-workers watching and then proceeded to moon them :cool::greetings10::D
