I pulled this amazing quote out of the article.
"A 2004 survey by France’s regional health observatory found that just 15 per cent of French women in their fifties and 27 per cent of women in their sixties said that they hadn’t had sex in the previous 12 months. By contrast, a recent British survey showed that 34 per cent of Britons in their fifties and 54 per cent in their sixties hadn’t."
In America at least, the large majority of these women in their 50s and 60s are married. So a fairly good slug of men are going without, or visiting prostitutes, having affairs, etc. And that is the major problem with our system of family law. It is really expensive to get rid of a spouse who is no longer performing, or really fiscally unsafe to take direct measures and try to leave the marriage in place.
My guess is that the >50% of women their 60s who are not having sex in America (if this number is in fact accurate) has little to do with a lack interest in sex. To me at least it seems that post menopausal women still like sex plenty, they are just not driven to get it on any terms like they might have been when they were younger.
So they get treated badly a few times, sex kind of drops to the back of their minds, and before you know it a fair amount of time has passed. So they try again to get some sex on terms that don't seem demeaning, get disappointed again, so it goes out of their minds for another possibly longer time.
If this goes on long enough, they may have definite physical issues that cause even the physical aspect of sex with a man to be not much fun. Let alone some of the less thrilling social and interpersonal aspects.

Definitely I have not. But this is about the 50%, who according to the article have not had sex in 12 months. If accurate , and I have no way of knowing if it is accurate or not, this is a lot of women not having much sex. You've obviously never met my friends.

Wasn't there supposed to be an FDA approved drug that was to be the "female Viagra"?
I guess the clinical trials are still going on......

Now I just have to learn how to tie a proper knot.
Sex (for me at least) is an incredible feeling both physically and mentally. I have a better outlook on life, my body is better for it and it's free.
I'm taking the placebo pill.Wasn't there supposed to be an FDA approved drug that was to be the "female Viagra"?

Mmmm, hmmm...sometimes you have to get control of a situation as people can be naughty....Why bother? I'm sure the police department gave you a set of handcuffs to use as you see fit.........
Sure, sounds good to me. As my sig line once said, 'We've got one thing in common....we've got the FIRE down below...I guess one could use that same quote to describe FIRE........
