I voted "none" if I get a call that I don't recognize the number or area code, I let it go to voice mail. If it is important they will leave a message and I can always call back if I like.

I absolutely count those as spam calls, because I never answer them, and some are autoblocked, but they qualify as spam in my book, although I only get one every month or two, much less than I used to, so "none" is the closest answer. I also get the occasional spam text message but am not counting those since they are not calls, yet the closest answer in this poll would still be "none".

SPAM blockers on the mobile phone catch about 99% of them.
After years of not answering the phone, our landline (really a VOIP with our multi-decade old landline number), is max 1 per day.

I'm 64 and the world knows it. Many calls lately, almost all robocalls. Usually nonworking numbers if I call back. Mostly about Medicare, since I occasionally answer when I am expecting a call from a number not in my contacts list.

I never get robocalls, since my phone only rings if it's from someone on my contacts list. All other calls go to voicemail, and robocallers very rarely leave a voice mail. The only hassle is I need to add new contacts if I want to allow someone to call. I find that businesses leave messages, if it's important.

On our landline maybe 5 or 6 calls a day. They always use bogus numbers and IDs. One time it was my own number. I usually pick up...listen and if dead air quickly hang up. I have on occasion hung on and the person on the other end sounds Indian. Selling Medicare plans, and Spectrum is bad. I would never go with Spectrum because of this. I may get one on the cell phone each week and I block them after the call (if it does any good) . I cringe at political season.

I rarely answer the phone unless I know the number calling me, but, I do get pretty obvious spam calls from time to time. They seem to come in groups of 3 or 4 in a day and then none for a week. No rhyme or reason. One number kept calling, time after time and leaving a message to call them. I didn't. Pretty obviously a scam.

One kinda scary thing happened a year ago, though. Got several calls from a guy (left messages) saying DW's American Funds account was about to be confiscated by the state for non-activity. I assumed it was a scam, even though he left a phone # and name to call back. The account always sent her quarterly reports and, no, she hadn't accessed the account for a long time - but there was no need to. So, the caller eventually sent us a hand written note claiming he was DW's representative for the company. Very strange. BUT it turned out to be true. The state had begun proceedings to confiscate the account! We called AmFunds and got it fixed, but what the hey? It REALLY sounded like a scam - but wasn't. Go figure.
