The State of Pennsylvania has posted the initial 2020 ACA plan rate requests various insurers have provided the Department of Insurance. They can be reviewed on the departments website at:

https://www.insurance.pa.gov/Consumers/Pages/2020-ACA-Health-Rate-Filings.aspx

In my county, it looks like we will still only have 2 insurers to choose from on the marketplace. Few counties added any insurers over last year.

If I'm interpreting the documents correctly (they are lengthy and confusing), it looks like my insurer is asking for about a 5% rate increase on average. Some plans go up, some down, so you need to look for your specific plan. The second carrier in my county appears to be requesting a 2% DECREASE in rate, so that's worth a look at since they had higher rates for me last year. Also, along with the 5% increase, it seems my plan will have a $100 higher deductible and $5 higher PCP co-pay.

All-in-all, it's not awful. I guess. These will not necessarily be the final rates. The state has a review period and then makes a decision on what they will allow.
