Retirement For Sale

W2R:

I just love your spunky and positive outlook on your posts. But I haven't heard you WHOOAA lately, have you?

You mentioned WW, I'm reading the South Beach Diet because hubby's gut is competing with Santa. So we are going to do this together because I have to lose some too. We are going back to walking at night...I can't take walking In the heat even though it doesn't compete with yours.

But life is treating us good. We are going to Va. Beach in Aug and Fl. in Feb.(hope these trips don't mess our diets). Then we have our grandsons....3 and 5 who complete our lives. They are cute at this age.
We go downtown every other week to eat at restaurants with friend we have never been to and fit a ballgame in when there is one. The city and is changing and there are many places to go to and see that weren't here 10yrs ago...including a casino(had to put this in. won't go a lot, but have to go sometimes.)

I know this isn't a financial post, but I just wanted to write it.

If you are an INTJ, like many on here, you don't need anyone selling you on something:LOL:

Since discovering the Meyers-Brigg personality types and finding out that I am INTJ, it has explained quite a bit. However, I've fallen into the trap of using it to try and explain away all my personality quirks - as in telling myself that whatever I do, it's normal behavior for an INTJ.

However, I think I just need to face up to the fact that as I get within spitting distance of 50, I am fast becoming a rather idiosyncratic (yet very content) curmudgeon :D

Idiosyncratic is what I also use to describe myself. But other people call me weird, and perhaps even crazy when out of earshot. But do I care?

That's the good thing about getting older - we feel less constrained by social "norms" and more free to be ourselves. It's rather handy for ER types, as we are often surrounded by family and friends who don't fully understand our lifestyle choices. We march to the beat of our own drum and thankfully, usually aren't bothered that we don't "fit in".

That is so typical of you INTJs.

And you probably are a poor salesperson. I know I am. I am not interested in selling retirement to anyone because some people are clearly not cut out for it.
