The interviews with Cameron were very good. I do take exception with his comparison of the owner of this vessel with Capt. Smith of the Titanic.

Yes, it was a mistake to give in to the White Star Line brass, and try to break a record on that crossing, icebergs be damned.

But it was nothing like the long stream of very poor decisions by Rush, not to mention his arrogance in the face of widespread expert concern.

On the other hand, Smith was at the end of a long career. He was well enough respected in his field to be given this plum assignment as his final command before retiring. Obviously I don't know much more about either of these guys, but I think even at a superficial level the differences are apparent.
