Just wondering why would the PI exhange be considered more favorable? If a comparable hotel in Bangkok cost 410 THB and in Manila cost 560 PI pesos, there would be no difference, unless you're saying that the one in Bangkok might cost 500 THB making it about 20% more expensive.

MJ,

My point was, everything equal, if a Manila hotel room was 500 pesos, then, in USD terms it costs $8.93 per night. A 500 baht hotel in Bangkok would cost USD $12.20.

If costs are roughly equal and I receive more pesos that baht, then I consider the peso/dollar exchange rate to be more favorable.

Just my take on things...
