Hello all, I've been enjoying this forum for awhile.

My husband and I secured our freedom by owning our own business, living well below our means, saving, and investing. We started the business in our early 20s and retired two years ago in our early 40s. We have children midway between crib and college.

We are quite stealthy about our financial situation and our early retirement. Most people (incl. friends and family) do not realize we are retired and assume we are still working in some fashion. We live a fairly modest lifestyle but at the same time we have everything we ever wanted and more -- the time to really enjoy it.

We spent the first couple years just decompressing (we retired in '08) and now we've lined up the adventures we want to pursue for the next several years, while we still have kids at home. We have ideas for the following years as well...

Welcome and congratulations, both on your retirement and your ability to fly under the radar.

Thank you, Travelover.

Stealth is good. It's easier to save your money if no one realizes you have any. ;)
