It always bothered me that they found DNA on her that didn't match any of the suspects (her parents) at the time.

There is still something a bit strange about this case. I believe I heard that the intruder was a family friend (Maybe not?) - He did not seem to be 'on the radar' of the investigation. He also seemed to know the layout of the house. So the question I have is - Why didn't the family request a DNA sample from this intruder?

interesting...i just watched a special on the case the other day and was still baffled. i thought it was the parents in some way

The only thing that seemed creepy about the parents to me was the child beauty pageant thing--man, that's bizarre. But since Patsy Ramsey herself was a beauty pageant winner, it's not so strange, I suppose. Patsy died of ovarian cancer at age 49, on top of her other troubles. Before her cancer or the murder of her child, I'm sure she was the envy of many.

It seemed obvious that it was arranged by the secret media mafia, since the media has profitted to the tune of billions covering the case.  Or perhaps one of the political parties arranged it to make the other look bad.......you know......"whacko liberal Dem accused of mudering young beauty pagent contestant" or "crazed neo-con sends little Miss Ramsey to sleep with the fish."

There has to be a deep conspiracy running in here someplace!  :(

More funny business!

This guy's ex-wife says they were in Alabama together on the day of the crime. Some folks are now speculating that this guy is making a false confession for notoriety.

His ex-wife also said the 'he spent a great deal of time researching the crime' - If he did it, why would he research it?

That seems to support my feelings that it is based in a conspiracy......... Of course, isn't everything?

Well, I don't know if I would call it a conspiracy, but there has been plenty of people that have confessed to famous crimes that they did not commit.

From the New York Times:

An American official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the criminal investigation, said that it was prudent in cases like this to be cautious about concluding that a confession necessarily means he did in fact commit the crime. Many people confess to crimes in high-profile cases - as the Ramsey case has been - based on what they read in the newspapers, and then turn out not to have done it, the official said.

But the official added, Karr "certainly knows a lot about it." He declined to provide more details.

Karr's former wife, Laura Karr, told KGO-TV in San Francisco on Wednesday that during their marriage her husband had spent considerable time researching the Ramsey case.

She said that she and Karr were together in Alabama when JonBenet was murdered.

I find it interesting that Karr is almost always referred to as "a teacher," when it appears that out of his 41 years, he may have spent 1 dozen days in total as a sub, none as a full-time or even part-time teacher. Why not refer to him as a drifter, ex-pat, or Southerner, which he spent a lot more time at? I guess it's more shocking that "a teacher" could do these things.

I don't know of any 'studies' but I suspect that many children are abused by teachers. In the school that I attended we had a teacher who was known to be a predator. I have a few very reliable sources which confirm that he is. Twenty five years later he's still teaching there.

I think "many" is an overstatement.........."some" is more accurate. My mom taught for 31 years in public schools. She said she knew about 3 teachers that were "suspect" and one that got arrested and charged...........out of a school district of 200 teachers over 31 years.........not a big statistic.

my 5 th grade teacher got falsely accused 7 years ago...........the girl involved admitted under oath she fabricated the whole thing because she was mad at the grade he gave her............it ruined his career, and he had to leave town and basically go into hiding..............5 years after being Educator of the year.......

And most car accidents happen within 5 miles of your house. ;)

I'll go out on a limb here and say that if this self confessed Thailand dude actually did it, I'll be shocked! - My guess is that his DNA will not match. I think this wacko spent way too much of his time following the case, that he may actually believe he did it himself.

He's seeking attention on this matter and he's currently getting it.

As crazy as it sounds I'm with CT, this guy is looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

The more I read and see about him I have to agree with CT too...but .. stranger things have happened.

I'm on board with the "freaky, anorexic, pedophile, dude didn't kill JonBenet" theory.

I am not sure that this guy did it but I am sure he is a pervert.

How would you like to the the principal of the international school who hired him to teach 2nd grade? Those parents pay big bucks for a quality education... and I bet they are NOT happy.

Given his record on child porn in CA, his claims to being with JonBenet when she died, and his desire to teach young children Thai citizens must be happy as can be that the US wants this wierdo back.

If it turns out this nut didn’t do it, based on his past record, I think he needs to be locked away for a long time.  It’s scary to see how many teacher’s assistant, nanny, and teaching positions he’s had over the years.

I know there are several posters from Thailand on the board - is this story making big headlines over there?  What's the reaction?

CT - you nailed it!
